Biography

  • Md. Nur Alam has been serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Pabna University of Science & Technology (PUST), Pabna-6600, Bangladesh since 23 January, 2014. He obtained Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (Honours) in 2008 and Master of Science (Thesis) in Mathematics (Applied) in 2010 from University of Rajshahi (RU), Rajshahi-6205, Bangladesh respectively. He also obtained M. Phil. Degree in Mathematics in 2015 from Pabna University of Science and Technology, Pabna-6600, Bangladesh. Mr. Alam has been received gold medal for good result in Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (Honours) in 2008. Initially, he joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, PUST, Pabna, Bangladesh on 23 January, 2012. Mr. Alam has been awarded CAS-TWAS President’s Fellowship to pursue a PhD study in the field of Computational Mathematics (CAGD and modeling, Isogeometric Analysis, Computer graphics, CAD\CAE\CAM) at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in China. Mr. Alam has been continuing his research work since of his early career life. He published his fundamental research papers in several peer-reviewed international and national journals. Mr. Alam participated and presented his research findings at many national and international conferences. As young scientist and having research potentiality, he is supervising good number of students at graduate and post graduate levels. Md. Nur Alam is a son of Md. Tariqul Islam and Rousnara Begum. He was born in the village Rampur, post office Bamankumar, Atwari of Panchagarh district in 1 March, 1986. He has two brothers and one sister.
