Biography (1)
- Abdul Ali Bhuiyan was born in Durgapur, a village situated in the Feni district of Bangladesh. He completed his B. Pharm. (Professional) and M. Pharm. (Thesis) degrees in Pharmacy from Pabna University of Science and Technology, Pabna, Bangladesh. His research primarily focuses on the isolation and identification of endophytic bacteria and fungi, secondary metabolite profiling, and the evaluation of their biological activities, particularly antioxidant and antibacterial potentials, supported by computational screening approaches. He is especially engaged in drug discovery from natural sources, microbial metabolites, and the development of alternative therapeutic agents against resistant pathogens. He was awarded both the prestigious R&D Fellowship and the National Science and Technology (NST) Research Fellowship by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. He has also received competitive research project awards funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh. In addition, he is a recipient of the President’s Scout Award, the highest award of Bangladesh Scouts, which reflects his leadership and enthusiasm. He has published several articles in international journals and has presented his research findings at national and international conferences. Before joining his current institution, he served as a Lecturer at Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology. He is currently working as a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy at Pabna University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh, where he remains actively engaged in both teaching and research.
