Biography (1)
- Rashed Mahmud is an Assistant Professor of English at Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST), Pabna, Bangladesh. He has completed his BA (Hons), MA and MPhil in English from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). The title of his MPhil thesis is “The Earliest Feminist Writers- Mary Wollstonecraft and Begum Rokeya: The Role Models for Next Generation Feminist Writers”. Before joining PUST, he has worked as a Lecturer of English at Mirzapur Cadet College, Tangail. He has worked as a Chairman of the Department of English (at PUST) from 01 June 2017 to 31 May 2020. He has also served the university’s Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall as an Assistant Provost from 01 August 2018 to 31 July 2021. Mahmud has a keen interest in research activities especially in Literature. He has co-authored one book (Syllabus, Curriculum and Material Design), edited a play (Arthur Miller’s All My Sons), translated two books (Indurkonnya O Onnyannyo Golpo and The Rules of Love) into Bangla, and published many research articles on language and literature in various online and printed journals. He translated and published many Bangla short stories into English in different issues of Shabdaghar Magazine. His research areas include Feminism, Literature and Literary Theory.
