Biography (1)
- Dr. Tasmina Khandaker was born in Kotchandpur Upazila, Jhenaidah, a district in the Khulna Division of southwestern Bangladesh. She completed her Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C.) from Kotchandpur Pilot Girls’ High School in 2007 and her Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C.) from Kotchandpur K.M.H. Government Degree College in 2009. She obtained her Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Chemistry (with thesis) from the Chemistry Discipline, Khulna University, Bangladesh (2011-2015). Afterward, she pursued higher studies at Sogang University, South Korea, where she completed her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. Her doctoral thesis was titled “High Performance Carbon Dioxide Capture Using Cation Exchange 2D Layered Vanadosilicate.” Following the completion of her academic studies, she joined as a full-time Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at Bangladesh Army University of Engineering & Technology (BAUET), Qadirabad Cantonment, Natore, serving from December 10, 2023 to January 31, 2025. She subsequently worked as a part-time Lecturer (Chemistry) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Khulna Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah University, Khulna, from August 10, 2025 to January 2026. In February, 2026, she joined the Department of Chemistry at Pabna University of Science and Technology as an Assistant Professor. Her current research interests are centered on zeolites, CO₂ capture, MAX-phase materials, Electrochemistry, and Nano-chemistry.
